Who We Are |
Cedar Valley Ministries is a small, but growing Christian organization dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, encouraging believers in their daily Christian walk, and providing spiritual assistance to individuals, pastors and churches.
Our ministry chaplain (the same as an executive director) and the general manager of our online network is Rev. Gary Shelton. Rev. Shelton is an independent methodist minister with over 30 years of pulpit and pastoral ministry experience. His formal education includes degrees in liberal arts, history, broadcast communications, and Christian education. Additionally, he is a certified emergency management professional and church growth specialist. He has written numerous articles for professional publication, such as, Preaching Today, The Ministers Monthly, and Pulpit Helps. He has authored three books. The most recent was Angels in the Whole Bible.
We have been frequently asked about the origin of our name. "Cedar Valley" is the name of our family farm in West Central Alabama. We have hopes of one day operating from or near that location. We are temporarily operating out of a one room office/studio in a church parsonage located in East Central Mississippi.

Our Mission and Methods |
The mission of Cedar Valley Ministries is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, encourage believers in their daily Christian walk, and provide spiritual assistance to individuals, pastors and churches. It is our intention to boldly witness to the lost and dying of these generations in the last days. With equal boldness, we will work to motivate believers toward Christ-likeness in spiritual holiness and to mobilize the local church to a truly spiritual, scriptural pattern of growth.
This mission will be accomplished by:
Developing the online Cedar Valley Network of audio and video channels as a modern, technologically advanced delivery system of inspiration, information and education.
Forming the Cedar Valley Bible Society as a personal link for individuals to participate in the work of this ministry and multiply its efforts into local communities.
Establishing the Evergreen Institute as a formal educational outreach that presents a full program of online courses and locally-delivered seminars/workshops.
Recruit, train and equip teams to report from around the globe concerning the work of God in these last days and to provide other local content relevant to our overall mission.
